Marketing Department
Marketing is the heart of PSG of New Brunswick and is comprised of 4 groups - Sales, Marketing, Public Relations/Government Affairs and Employee Resources.
The Sales Group is responsible for account management, telemarketing, and direct sales. This includes calling employers for job openings and visiting employers to explain and offer PSG services. The objective is to position the PSG organization to be included on a company's approved vendor list to gather premium jobs for PSG members.
The Marketing Group creates the marketing campaigns, provides research on the employer to support the sales organization, and directs job fairs. All incoming job leads (external or internal) are recorded and made available to all PSG members via a daily E-Mail. If you have excellent communication skills,a sales or marketing background, or want to enhance these skills, you many consider this area. This area maintains a directory of each active PSG member's resume via the PSG New Brunswick group.
Public Relations and Government Affairs Group members are responsible for the publication of the monthly PSG newsletter 'Hi-Lites', preparation and coordination of media public service announcements, and serving as a bridge for advocacy with government including executive and legislative branches. Writing or communication skills would benefit this department. If you are interested in government affairs, desktop publishing, advertising, or communications this is the area for you!
Employee Resources Group assists PSG members to achieve their career goals by providing a combination of peer assistance and outside expertise. Members arrange for guest speakers for the membership, moderate the Network Action Group (NAG) meetings, and lead other small groups based upon specific interests or skill sets to facilitate interaction and support in a small group network.
Members also maintain the resource library by adding new items when received, monitor material usage, and attend to overdue books or materials. Members in this area generally have an interest in working with or leading small groups.
